I think the Cleveland Cavaliers are contenders in the east they have nice chance of winning the east again because they have already won it they will be one the teams to contend with along with Boston, Chicago,and Detroit

The Cavs need this Varejao and Pavlovic thing sorted out immediately before they even think about the Finals. LeBron is surrounded by pretty much a terrible supporting cast. Take away your 3rd or 4th best player (Varejao, after James, Hughes, maybe Ilgauskas) and your best bench player (Pavlovic, assuming Gibson starts) and I don't see anything past the first or second round no matter how good James is. Expect James to be the favorite for MVP but don't be suprised if Detroit, New Jersey, Boston, Chicago or Toronto do better than them in the East.

the cavs didnt build on the team, the knicks, nets, magic, and boston got better this off season, they will have trouble in the east. also with two key players holding out (dont over pay!) that will hinder them alot. i think they will finish between 5-7, and be 1st round KO's

I tink they have a good chance because they all know whats it's like to be in the playoffs and they are good enough to get there again... ifnot the championship.... But you know they will step up in the game to get the job done.. they a fighters and they have a really good chance to make it this year... This is comeing from a Lakers fan..

i think they have a good chance to repeat and make it to the finals. but they do have to contend with an up and coming Boston team, and of course Pistons and Bulls. those should be the teams they have to contend with in the east.

they depend alot on james and i think they need a great P.G if they get that then maybe they will because they are in the East but if they were in west they had no chance

I don't think they can get to the NBA finals this season because of boston,detroit,miami and so on
