Meaning the courts. I read that normally the husband loses the house, car, and kids. Although he is also the one who paid for all the materials in the first place. Is it fair?

All I can say is if you wear a dress and get a divorce in NJ, you are going to win big time. I don't know as guys why we even bother to walk into the court room, we are convicted and sentenced, and we didn't get a chance to plea our case. Everything they say about lawyers are true, which I discovered, no lawyer is going to fight for you, they just want to get paid. They go back to their rich life style while you are trying to support yourself on crackers and jelly and trying to stay out of jail for not paying child support. Meanwhile, mom has a new boyfriend and I am getting the kids more, so now I am down to ONLY crackers, can't afford the jelly. Why don't I go back and get a reduction in child support then. Has anyone seen the papers on doing this? you need a lawyer to do this, and guess what? I don't have a dime.

We always hear about the bad dad's not paying support, but we don't hear about the bad moms who are trying to stick to their husbands by using every trick in the book.I had a women come out of court and looked at her husband in the hallway and with the motions of pulling down the one arm bandit she screamed out to him, " cha ching cha ching", as to say I got you. This is what I am talking about, a game of strategy by the women to suck the life out of her ex-husband. Maybe someday the court will change, I hope. Don't let me get started on how the child support division treats a man, that is simply un-merrcyful.

If Ur wife was a stay at home mom.. she was lucky..
most women work today.. and help pay for all these cars, house, and kids...

Divorce is never fair.. to the wife, husband or the kids involved..
the courts do the best they can..
are u gonna raise the kids..????? then u can have the house, car and kids..

but as a rule the courts seem to think the mom is more caring.. and more likely to be at home at night rather than chasing men around town..

Men and women different in that way.

No one every said LIFE is FAIR.... just love ur kids,,, and stay in their life.. separate with dignity.. and make the transition easy on everyone.. no anger, or hostility..
good luck.. keep Ur head up..

is it fair.. no!! are the courts fair.... no!! so is the way of the world... if there are kids involved she will usually get the house the car and all the goodies.. because the courts will not take the children from the home or have them not have a way to get to school or to the hospital... when two ppl divorce it is.. in most states.. law that the childrens situation and life style must be maintained... regardless of who has the children.. mother or father... but in most states courts like to keep the children with the mother unless the father can PROVE that the mother is unfit!! hence the reason why woman usually get everything... if there aren't children involved.. depending on state and stipulation agreed upon at the begining on the married (e.g. pre-nump) usually everything gets split down the middle based on prior ownership and value.... but basically... NO it's not fair!!

The law is not meant to be fair.

It IS meant to be equitable.

Also, you are operating on a false assumption. the husband, in a marriage (even if the wife does NOT work) does not pay for everything. Marriage is a partnership whereby each party 'pays' for the assest accumulated during the marriage.

In a situation where one parent (regardless of sex) does not work, they contribute in other ways, such as raising children or keeping the home. That is the essence of equity. The contribution does not have to be monitary to be equitable.

regrettably, the courts equipment, somewhat whilst it consists of divorce, do seem unfair. What compounds concerns is that it incredibly is as much as judges to evaluate the worthiness of somebody discern's suitability in offering the youngster's suited welfare. of course, the youngster's suited interest must be of the maximum attention. regrettably, judges don't get to be sure the entire image. i could probability a wager it incredibly is advisable to have been doing something suggestions-blowing in the journey that your older infants have made the attempt to come lower back and spot you considering your marriage breakup ... the two that, or they are adept at taking part in one discern opposed to yet another, which infants are apt to do. i'm chuffed that your older infants do bypass to you. the likelihood is that your youthful infants will persist with extra healthful, till your ex-spouse has found out to instruct him/her opposed to you. (i'm hoping no longer.)

Fairness is not where the problem lies, the
problems lies in too many people are getting
married and are not taking it serioulsy enough as
not to have to divorce later for one reason or
another. Nothing is fair in life as it is today and
if more people were committed and loving then
fewer divorces would take place.
