i want to buy laptop , but i do not know what the best one .

depends on what you want it for. if you want it for gaming . something with good video accelorator card like alienware, but its expensive $3900. you want to watch and burn music and dvd i would go with an hp entertainment notebook. if you just want a laptop instead of a big computer i would say an hp laptop. you can get up to 400 gb of harddrive on them. hp is a really good brand. you can get a really good one for $1200 or less. mine was 699 and i am in the passenger seat of a car going 70 mph on mine lol right now as i write this

What do you want to do with it? I bought and currently use an old Toughbook from a junk inventory firesale for $50.

definitely not dells. everyone i know, myself included, that has had a dell laptop has had nothing but problems. then in order to get it fixed, you have to weave in and out of their warranty policies.
