umm.... sure. Sounds like a good idea if you're talking about an outdoor installation. Obviously, you wouldn't bring an outdoor grill indoors.

If you are serious about this, you need to go look at sites of people who restore old wood stoves and people who wood fire pottery. I think there is a basic conflict between the open pit of the BBQ and the need for surround heat of the oven which is a metal shell inside insulation. Certain kinds of wood fired cooking oven are heated by building the fire inside, getting it hot, then removing the fire.
