Yes. I can understand him wanting an American League team to win, but not the Red Sox. It's one thing if he said he thought the Red Sox will win, but that he's rooting for the Rockies, but he is rooting for the Red Sox. A reel Yankees fan would never, could never root for the Red Sox, no matter whom they were playing. The Red Sox have a good team, don't get me wrong, but to root for them never.

I agree with u Lefty, in 1986 I was rooting for the Mets and I'm a Yankees fan, and even though I don't like the Mets, I hate the Red Sox.

Any true YANKEE fan would rather have their eyes gouged out than give any thought or support to the Red Sox. A Yankee fan roots for the Yankees and whoever is playing the Red Sox!

I was shocked. I don't think there is a Sox fan anywhere that would ever want the Yankees to win.

He looks like a jerk. No true Yankee fan would root for the Redsox. Period. And I am a Met's fan. That would be like me rooting for the Braves in a World Series. I can understand how Yankee fans would be pissed off.
