Is it a good idea? I want to know your opinion. Also, could you read my opinion, and tell me if you agree with it or not. Thanks for reading and answering.

I don't believe it is, only because once recognized, they will all be able to buy a lot of weapons and in the future may go to war with each other. Also, splitting into 3 parts, makes a foreign invasion a lot more plausible of one of the parts. I also believe that the Shiites will eventually take over the Sunni area and the then the Kurd area of Iraq and rule over them, taking much of the oil profits for themselves. So, in conclusion, I see the idea of splitting Iraq into three parts as a faster way toward military conflict between the "countries".

checkers anyone, I see it as a faster and far deadlier way for the Sunnis and the Shiites to fight each other.

It is a good idea.

Worrying that the three parts might eventually war with each other is inane when you consider that 2 of the 3 are already warring with each other.

No. It wouldn't solve a damn thing. The only way that there will ever be lasting peace is if the Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds find a way in which they can coexist peacefully. Sadly to say, this does not seem to be a plausible option now or in the foreseeable future. The divisions are too wide, and the history of hatred which runs amongst them goes too deep. Unfortunately the US involvement has actually made the stability of the country worse than it was under the former regime. I'm not saying Saddam should have been left alone to do as he wished, I just believe that the problem should have been taken care of during the first Gulf war when there was greater stability in the region.

i completely disagree with splitting Iraq to 3 parts for 2 reasons.
1-managing and sucking up the oil of three small countries is much easier for the u.s and thats not good for Iraqi's
2-its dangerous for the neighboring countries like Iran and turky because Kurds living there might want too join the new Kurdish state and establish a independent Kurdish state which is dangerous for the middle east!

I disagree with your scenario. I think splitting them into 3 states with Baghdad as the central government, would balance the country. Besides, not all shia would move to the shia state, just like not all kurds will live in the kurd state. Seccession is a possibility anywhere in the world, even here in the U.S. it is.
