I'm so grossed out, please tell me what this bug is. It was alive when I found it in the kitchen and killed it with a book. When I saw it it was on it's hind legs waving its arms in the air and waving its antennas around. I really hope it's not a deadly bug.. or even worse a roach. Please help me thanks!!!

looks maybe like a cockroach or a weird cricket, but its hard to tell because it's not a very clear picture... and because the bug is smooshed

It looks like horned beetle, but its hard to tell without a close up and size reference.

I'd guess a cricket, did you hear it making noise and it's brown then it is probably a cricket.
