My friend was really mad at me cuz i didn't pay him $5 i owed him. My family doesn't even have any money at all right now.
My dad woke me up at 6:00 this morning b/c he neded ten dollars for gas money and i didn't have any.
I cry all the time b/c of this and no one understands and they think that thier parents are atms.
He has been really mean because of this and wont let it go.
What should i say- he talks about it all of the time.

This guy is sooooo mean!! Calling you a b**** for that?
He pulls out money from his wallet like tissue but still call you names for a mere $5?!
Maybe you can tell him the truth about your family and if he is really a friend, he will not press you so hard for the money. It's not like he needs it immediately or that you're not returning him. Just asking for some time, right?
I can't stand it when people just stretch out their hands to their parents and ask for whichever amount they fancy. I mean, my family's financial status is bad. We are repaying some loans and I work to pay for my own school fees and expenses.
Yet, some dumb 'friends' of mine will ask me things like, Why aren't you buying these shoes? They're nice! You should really doll yourself up blah blah blah... However, I learn to ignore it and when I do get something, it is something that I earned and definitely deserve!
Best of luck with everything and maybe you can try to manage your finances better by setting budget for everything. I do that and it helps me a lot.

Tell a trusted friend about the problem you are having with this boy and the problems your family is having with money. Ask if you can borrow 5 dollars from them until you can get the money together...OR, look around your room...see if you have something that you can sell. Sometimes, when money is tight, it is necessary to let go of some luxury items...I am sure you have something you can sell that is worth 5.00...A good place to sell things is craigslist.org...
Don't ever let anyone intimidate you, disrespect you, or make you feel badly because of money...
You put the money in an envelope, and hand it to him...tell him that you may not have as much money as his family does, but that can change...being an abusive and disrespectful low-class jerk, however...well, those are traits those don't change as easily...
Rest assured knowing that he will likely be an unhappy, unsatisfied, unfulfilled person....
Best wishes, things will improve.
My husband and I both came from nothing...we put ourselves through school and now have a 6 figure income...we appreciate our lives every single day....our peers? miserable...they can never get enough.

Besides the fact he's got money and this is only $5, he doesnt sound like the greatest friend. If he calling you names over this, you probably need to let it go and try your best to ignore him. Or talk to him. Don't get frustrated with him, even when he does, and just say you don't have it right now. Tell him you will get it to him, and if he's a real friend, he'll understand.

It's $5. Honestly, a guy that has a wallet full of cash should not be freaking out over something like this. Confront him. Tell him not everyone is as rich or spoiled as him and if you're considered a *****, then what the hell does that make him?

I'm sorry sweetheart. that guy just doesn't sound like a friend to me. and I would just tell him the truth. tell him that you can't pay him back right now because you can't give him something that you don't have. tell him that you'll pay him back as soon as you can, and until then, he's just going to have to wait.
and trust me, a friend wouldn't get mad at you and call you names, or be mean to you over 5 dollars.
you just hold your head up, and don't worry about what he's saying because he's only making himself look like a real jerk!

Yes, just tell him you'll give it to him the second you have it then pay him back and never talk to him again. If you can, sell something or take a job for a few days just to get the money and get him off your back.

Tell him you'll pay him when you get the because right you don't have it. you have other things to worry about and he needs to know that. and once you give him the money back i would distance myself from him because he's not that good of a friend

Just tell him that you don't have it now, but believe me if you did you would give it to him just to shut him up. Tell him that when you get it, you will be sure to get it to him, and never borrow a dime from him again. He is not your friend.
