I believe the individual owns his own body. It is not owned by the all powerful STATE!! Therefore, it is up to the individual to decide to end his own life or not. I have no problem with this law being in every state.

Absolutely. It has a lot of safeguards built into it so that it's difficult to be accepted for, so people who are just 'blue' don't qualify. They have to have several doctors diagnose them as terminally ill and are in great pain.

The statistics also show that very few people have taken advantage of the law (about 200 so far in all these years), meaning that there has not been a mad rate of suicides because of it. It's only for those terminal patients who want death with dignity.

It's a very workable program. And it gives dignity to these people and control over their own fates instead of being plugged into machines against their will.

If the people of Oregon want such a law, then that's fine. But it's up to the citizens of each state to choose if that's the right law for them. I'm all for States' rights. Certainly it shouldn't be made a federal law. Too many federal laws as it is.

Yes i think so, i mean im againts euthanization because the doctor would technically be a murder

however if someone wants to do it themselves then go right ahead, the only thing i wonder is if insurance companies would consider this suicide and deny benefits

Each state will decide this if the issue is raised...
We have no choice about being born...sometimes small control over how our life unfolds...we should at least have the ability to choose how it ends.

No more federal laws. Let each state enact its own law concerning stuff like this.
