I bought some Malibu landscape solar lights. I installed them yesterday, and they were working in the evening. Today it rained and some of them stopped working. Or better they are flickering. Light goes on and off.
Could the rain have effected the lights or do they still need more time to charge?
Please help because I am ready to return them. So frustrated.

they may need more time to charge. check that all the batteries are firmly in place. you can try to charge them right under a light in the house for a day. mine took a really good sunny day before they really took off, but when i got up at 5 am and it was just starting to get light, they were STILL on! now that its fall, though, none of them are on for more that a couple hours after dark

Solar lights get there energy and get charged by sunlight. It would make sense that if it were a rainy day, they would not be getting the energy they need to work. Unfortunately that is the disadvantage of solar outdoor lighting.

I would wait for a sunny day and then see how they work. There may be nothing wrong with them, but this will tell you if there is an actual problem.

Hi!
The batteries need to be fully charged before the first use. They'll need 2 or 3 days of sunshine. During this first charging period, let the switch OFF so they don't discharge at night.

If you are in a hurry and you know how to use a screwdriver and if you have a battery charger, remove the batteries, charge them for a couple of hours (if it's a quick charger) and that's it.

Good luck

Don't worry ,my friend. Solar light does not work cause the rainy days. The battery only install one day not charge enougg. When sunshine, you will have a look and it will work as well.

Your battery is too small and the system can not last for two days. Also your panels size is not enough. The low cost light means that the problem. Please send your lights detail to me. I can help to check the problem. janyhimin@126.com

you need to make sure that they can withstand rain, but if they do not it is really stupid as they are supposed to !

anyhow wait 2 or 3 days, most stores let you return them with packing/receipt before 30 days
