Curious Connie: I see now I should have put "Sense of Humor" in that list. That's very important. Thank you.

Good listener also willing to talk about the day, their own plans, desires, dreams and opinions. Toss in a good sense of humor and good character and you have a near perfect person. All the other things will fall in to place.

It's important to be a good listener. Many communication
problems are the result of not really listening. If people
really listened to each other, a lot of problems would be
solved. Also, a good sense of humor is important. Many
people need to lighten up, and a sense of humor helps.

Well, sometimes I need a good listener when I need to rant. Hub sometimes plays devil's advocate, and I could just bean him when he does. I don't want logic, I want him to LISTEN and to AGREE.

I'm a good cook, and when he wants special meals, he take me out and pays for them.

Neither of us is a good housekeeper, and the cats don't help, either.

I'm with Justme. Gots to have music, everything and almost every kind. Forget heavy metal and rap. I said music, not noise.

Adventurous spirit-I prefer to be with people who are willing to try new things and who are willing to feed their curiosity.

Engaging conversationalist-able to listen and respond, and also able to express own thoughts. Extremes in any direction (doesn't listen or too quiet or too talkative) become tiresome after awhile.

Resilient-We all suffer at times, I truly enjoy being around people who can get knocked down 9 times and get back up 10 times.

Plays well with others-Even drudge work can be done playfully with the right person. Play includes humor...and many other attributes as well.

Right now, I'm unable to do the cooking, so I'd need a good
cook. But the one I have isn't too shabby, come to think of it.
But I would like a good housekeeper. Because the cook
isn't much for housework. But he does vacuum LOL. And I
could use a good listener. As the 'cook' hates me interrupting
when he's watching TV, reading, or busy in the kitchen. So
when does that leave time for his listening? You tell me:(

In a relationship you must look for common interests, first, and of course attraction to the the other person. You will soon get to know the other good or bad traits, the longer you spend with them. Then you can make your decision.

Good listener, with a sense of humor. With a really good listener, you can be heard and work out any other issues.

Good listener would be the most important on your list...the others would be pluses.

Two other things very necessary for me: family oriented and must love animals.

I would like someone who is not so addicted to the television and likes to come to bed at night instead of falling asleep in front of said television. The only other thing he does it take out the garbage and wash his own clothes.
