In baseball momentum lasts until the next game's starting pitcher. If Jimenez has it, they will have momentum. If Schilling has his stuff, the Red sox will keep their momentum.

No I think that they sailed through these playoffs and had to deal with a 9 day layoff which made them a little rusty to face a very hot Boston team who pounded my Inidans in 3 straight by an average of like 10 runs, counting tonight they have scored over 30 runs in 8 days and the rockies haven't even played during that time except some Batting practice so look for them to regain a little momentum if they can leave Boston with at least a split then they will be doing good. Although that is what I said about Cleveland which they did and still lost so who know's anymore.

after getting blowin out 13-1, no matter what people say, there has to be some momentum lost for the rockies...people just say it was 1 game but geez, at least keep the score reasonable like 7-1 or something, instead they get blowin out 13-1 from the 5th. When it comes down to it, the red sox proved that they are the better team and no matter how good of a game the rockies have, if the sox play like this, the red sox will win!!!

As far as riding their win streak into Fenway, yes that momentum is over. You can't "keep momentum" when you get your A$$ handed to you 13-1. You pretty much have to start over with Game 2. Right now the "momentum" is with the Red Sox, they have been outscoring opponents 43-6 ever since the Indians put them in that 1-3 hole in the ALCS.

Yes it is. But that's baseball. If they win tonight and go home 1-1, the momentum is back on their side. In some World Series the momentum shifts are crazy. That's what makes the Series the greatest sports championship in the world.

These are Major League players and bounce back immediately. As far as the Rockies are concerned, it is yesterdays news. And the Red Sox know that it only marks up as one win.
Both show up on Thursday ready to play.
