For an abdominal ultrasound:
You should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing for your ultrasound exam. You will need to remove all clothing and jewelry in the area to be examined.
You may be asked to wear a gown during the procedure.
Tell your doctor if you have had a barium enema or a series of upper GI (gastrointestinal) tests within the past two days. Barium that remains in the intestines can interfere with the ultrasound test.
Other preparations depend on the type of ultrasound you are having.
For a study of the liver, gallbladder, spleen, and pancreas, you may be asked to eat a fat-free meal on the evening before the test and then to avoid eating or drinking for eight to 12 hours before the test.
For ultrasound of the kidneys, you may be asked to drink four to six glasses of liquid about an hour before the test to fill your bladder. You may be asked to avoid eating for eight to 12 hours before the test to avoid gas buildup in the intestines.
For ultrasound of the aorta, you may need to avoid eating for eight to 12 hours before the test.

No, you are supposed to avoid all eating and drinking for 8 hours. If you don't, then the food/fluids can obstruct the ultrasound and you will not get accurate results.
Taking ibuprofen should not effect the ultrasound since the pills are so small, the problem is, of course, you would have to swallow them without any water if you were to take them within your 8 hour period. If you really need to take them, take them 9 hours before your ultrasound. If the ibuprofen is over the counter and not prescribed by your doctor though, you really should consult with them beforehand just in case.
Hope that helps.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

It’s an age old trick but vertical stripes do stretch you out. The contrast of colour straight vertical splits your body in 50 percent.

It is important that you take nothing by mouth, except....if you take prescription medication, you may take that with only enough water to take the pills. If you MUST-- try sucking on a few pieces of chipped ice. VERY LITTLE.
BUT - no ibuprofen, no aspirin. You can take only tylenol and only if you are normally required to take as a pain reliever or if it is prescribed and you take it daily.
