Considering the strength of both the teams, India winning the series against Australia in Australia are very remote.

Difficult to say. It is too long a shot. First, the Indian Team has to go through the Pakistan matches successfully and reach Australia with a very positive mind set.
In test matches the services of Sachin, Dravid , Laxman and Kumble should be available.
Vengsarkar should stop interfering with the team unity. Ravi Sastry should be given as much of a role as would be possible for unifying the team and boosting its morale.

Been stuck in a non cricketing nation for months.... So going by my prior knowledge I would say that India beating Australia in a test series at the moment,is as likely as Bin Laden becoming a pacifist and converting to Judaism!!

Hi Nulla-Unfairly. Good to see youre still alive and squirming!!!!!

Test cricket is the cricket of stamina and technique.. Ganguly should be out of the team as he lacks both of them and he could very well be troubled by Short Pitch Balls.

Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman should play. They provide solid base withering to any bowling. Laxman likes Australian bowling. Yuvraj Singh, Sehwag and Dhoni will provide necessary thurst whenver required.

If the team goes with the above plan, India can certainly beat Australia.

If they do (win the series as opposed to one test - I guess that's what you mean) it will truly be an amazing win. It would also be a fantastic thing for cricket overall and I would be the first to do some comparisons of Australian and Indian lagers with the Indian supporters.

The Indian team if they pull it off would deserve a motorcade or two. They might even deserve knighthoods! :-)

All of that said, I doubt if it will happen (My prediction Australia 3-1), but I'm always prepared to compare lagers.

India will struggle trying to score 300 runs a day and to also take the required 20 wickets to win.

definitely india will clinch the series if young players are given the chance to play.

Ohh noway mate....
Even India cannot win the One day series in their own soil...
How could they win it in the Kangaroos territory against them..
If they play like in T20 in test the match will just finish in 1 day...
