Hi, I have a friend who was evicted, and now I do no know where he is. Is there anyway I can go about finding this stuff? Do I need to go to the government? HELP?!

Mail is the easiest way to find a lost person. If they do not have/use any mail..i.e. no job (w2), no bills, etc. then it can be a problem. However if he was evicted there are likely creditors looking for him. If you have his SSN, do a credit pull and locate all the addresses listed.

The government wont help you track down people. Its not their job to do so. You weren't married to or a relative of the person so you can't file a missing persons report. If the guy was a good friend then eventually he will contact you. If not, then he won't.

Of course you could always hire a private investigator.

Start with the landlord and see if he left a forwarding address. Mail a card to his old address asking him to contact you. If he is having his mail forwarded, he will get it. Check with mutual friends and his neighbors. Someone should know where he is.
