im american and graduating w/ a degree in english. can i be a school teacher in london. would i be qualified?

you might need to do a teacher training course - this is a year, and many uk universities offer this, it's needed to become a teacher here (a friend of mine's just finished hers at oxford brookes uni)

you could try looking on the ucas website for more information

In England we use capital letters at the beginning of sentences, proper nouns and first person singular pronouns. Apparently you do not!

I fear that your forthcoming degree would not be useful as a qualification in the UK.
