Yes .. and unfortunately .. it is ALWAYS the Ex (an abusive, violent sociopath from a short disaster of a marriage).

This happened again in August 2006 .. with the willing help of an adult child. I am so sick of having USELESS Restraining Orders, USELESS Protective Orders, Law Enforcement looking the other way, and the Courts LETTING this Abuser continue to Torment, Stalk, and yes, continue to Burglarize MY HOME and Steal my identity time and time again.

Now, how do I know it was the Ex who did this Burglary?

Well ... first of all, he WROTE his NAME on the Rubbermaid Bins that I am using to sort through things .. and that was DEFINITELY His handwriting. He lined the bins up in my Dining Room and had already filled the back of his vehicle with all the items he wanted in the first round of the burglary (and guess what ... my neighbor WATCHED my Adult Child helping this EX (who has a California License Plate) load up AND did NOTHING!!!! The Neighbor KNEW I was SINGLE for the past almost 2 decades and STILL thought nothing about this .. and LET them (the Ex and Adult Child) LEAVE and NEVER called the police at all -- but the same neighbor called the police on the person I hired to cut my lawn while I was in the Hospital!

yes, but I was moving and had moved most of my stuff out. They got my shop vac, and that was a drag. They also vandalized the house and tore the central AC control unit thing off the wall. Wires were all over the place. I wonder if they though they could just tear it out and use it somewhere else? Who knows.

I had just moved my cats the day before! I'm so glad they weren't in the house when it happened.

Yep. He pawned about 80 of my CD's. I found them in the store where he pawned them. The police confiscated them and kept them in an evidence locker for over a year! Bummer!

He signed the receipt for the money, so the cops knew who it was (one of my niece's boyfriends). They never caught him. I never did get back any of the other stuff he took, like tools and smokes and whatnot.

Since the CD's were in an evidence locker, and I could not prove what else was stolen, my home owner's insurance would not pay.

Totally a bummer in every way!

a number of cases: even as i change right into a baby, my dad chased the guy out with an inclination golfing club he chanced on contained in the backyard. That change into like contained in the Nineteen Sixties after we in no way even afflicted locking the doorways at evening. Then contained in the Nineteen Seventies someone tried to break in and placed himself on the organization end of my Browning 9mm hi-skill. It took a week to get rid of the scent of human urine. Then contained in the Nineteen Eighties a crack head tried it yet in no way honestly were given in. no longer some thing contained in the Nineteen Nineties. those days, the doorways are locked and the homestead windows are barricaded with shutters. Lock n load!

Yeah, twice in two different cities.LOL. The first time they took "everything" TV's, stereo,CD's, kitchen appliances, clothing. I was so ticked off because we were never able to afford to buy some of those things again. The second time the only thing we had of real value was a stereo so that's the only thing they took.

No, but some guys tried to steal my parents' car out of the driveway about 15 years ago. My dad ran into the front yard wielding an unloaded gun--man, those guys ran like hell!!!

Yes it has and it is a very scarey feeling. It's a feeling of invation that someone has been in your home and through your personal things. And not knowing if they will be back. I'm sorry if that happened to you.

Yep. And, believe it or not, before the actual scariness of it hit home, you know what my first thought was?
"I'm so glad the house was clean!"
How sad is that???
