No, in fact, she didn't have the right to knock your head through the wall as a child. She had a responsibility to teach and guide you. I'd think that knocking your head against the wall would somehow overshadow the lesson and cause the germane point to be missed.
That being said, as an adult, she has a right to give you inputs, you have the right to accept or reject the inputs and therefore accept the responsibility/consequences for your choices. At 18 her jurisdiction stopped, assuming you've moved out and are living on your own.

I wouldn't say knock your head through the wall. That's not going to solve anything. But if you should always respect your mother no matter what your age.

Yes, all mothers reserve the right to keep all of their kids in line for their lifetime, and if they remain out of line once Mom passes on, she has the right to haunt you forever.
Behave yourself, and you will not have to worry about this.
Have a good day....I'm not really advocating physical violence, but sometimes you kids can really get on our last nerve.....

My mother always said " I brought you in this world and I will take you out". The truth is that no one had the right to hurt no one no matter who they are. The last beating I got from my dear mom, was when I was 35 years old. Mom is Mom no matter what. Tell your mom not to do that any more, but make sure you tell her being far from her, or maybe thtough the phone. Hey, be careful!!

No!! Get away from her. Abusive parents will remain that way no matter how old we get. My mother tried to punch me in the face when I was 26. She's lucky I didn't put her head thru a wall. I didn't do anything to make her be this way either. She doesn't have the right no matter how old you are.

do you mean these words literally or as a figure of speech?
Any sort of physical ... abuse ... you need to know that you don't have to live this way anymore and this situation is not your fault because you did not create it and you cannot manage it and can not cure it yourself, however you need help. That will be the hardest part of all asking for help. Once you do the rest will take care of itself as long as you are willing to stick with wanting a better life
as a figure of speech? No, still abuse and still need help.
be well and happy

No.
What kind of mother is that?
Leave and find sanity.
What is yelling?
What is physical shoving and head bashing?
these things are from the insecure and violent makers that build upon resentments back lash.
I hope you do not treat any one like this.
Would not appreciation and love be more fitting for a mother?

Literally? No. She never had that right to begin with, though. Methaphorically? Only if you still live in her house, as the others are saying. Her house, her rules, her authority. However, if you're moved out and independant, your mother needs to know it's time that she let you be.

Yes, she still has the right, since you never cease to be her child, but it doesn't mean that it is right, next time try to reason with her, if she wants to reprimand you, then tell her to speak to you instead than knocking your head through a wall. Maybe she will understand you are not a child anymore, and its not right.
