I will not sit on a public toilet seat under any circumstance, and will only sit on the toilet seat when I am at someone else's home if I know them and I know they're clean.

Also, I forgot to add that toilet seat covers aren't available. I have noticed that a lot of restrooms in public places are always out of toilet seat covers or they don't have a receptacle for them.

I will always hover over a public seat even at my boyfriend's house. I don't trust any toilet.

Since I am a dude, I have the luxury of standing up to pee. With that said I have been in restrooms where I didn't even want to touch the doors, fixtures ect. I don't think I have ever sat on a toilet in a public restroom.
Most of my friends' houses are cleaner than mine, so when I at their house I don't have a problem sitting on the toilet if I have to.

I only use public restrooms if I absolutely cannot hold it. And I wipe the toilet seat down with toilet paper before I go.

i always cover the toilet seat with toilet paper even at my own home if i must sit down as also many other people use the toilet. and a very thorough hand washing afterwards. it is just disgusting to not be sanitary. not only to yourself but also it could pass on germs to others.

just use toilet paper to cover the seat if there arent any seat covers. im kind of germaphobic when it comes to dirty restrooms, other wise im good.

I look, if it appears free of dirt then I sit. Germs don't grow well on plastic or varnished wood. I'm 45 and never had a problem!
