Technically, the tree doesn't change. My husband and I have 15 polygamous families in our LDS family trees. The tree chart itself looks exactly like anyone else's. Sister wives are simply ignored. While the FLDS may well have lied to the authorities about their family structures, in their private lives there is no reason to think they don't know who their real parents are. Everything the women and children do is directed by the male leaders. I believe the men directed everyone to lie about family ties to protect themselves and hide their bad behavior. I doubt they had any idea that DNA would be taken, or that their lies would make it difficult to get their children back. They assumed they would be prosecuted for polygamy, not child abuse. Ironically, families are very important to these people, which makes this mess even sadder.

I am only joking here, but I have been told it means you are from the South. (my daddy is from the far south, by the way. --oops--what does that say about my family tree branch, I wonder!)
