generally speaking, when talking about a quality college, online courses are harder than the same class in the classroom.

The online class will require more dedication to time and will be reading and writing intensive (since there are no lectures or multiple guess quizes).

Some classes are ideally suited for online though - computer usage classes are among these. A class about computer applications will be about equal online as in the classroom as long as she knows about computers.

Also, any class that she already has a strong grasp of will be more comfortable (less boring) online. If she really knows her colonial American history because she visited those places and is intriqued - then that class won't be too demanding.

Otherwise, there are no "easier classes" online - online is the hard (though more convenient) way to do it.

I would reccommend her taking English or History online, mainly b/c her class will probably be alot of reading (which she can do on her own) and term papers! LOL. History 1 is often blanket memorization of facts and events with a few papers thrown in and possibly presentations. Stay away from taking any sciences (they usually require a lab anyway and you don't get the benefit of a possible lab partner online) as well as math online unless she is really strong in this area, then it's okay. English or History would be my vote.

As a side note, if she is living on campus -- tell her to go to class!!! You are already paying for an education, may as well go to class and learn the lessons with the instructor.

It depends what is her area of interest. If she is good in accounts Financial Planning and Accounting courses are avaialble online. Similarly MBA Courses are available online. If she is interested in IT there are computer courses online. If she is interested in arts and humanities there are foreign language courses especially French and JAPANESE avaialble in the emabassies part time. There is Biotechnology courses avaialable online.
Hence first decide what exactly is the area of interest and the select the courses.

don't send your kid to college unless you want her to get a good ed... Theres no sense in wasting your money for college just b/c societal pressures says it's good when your kid goes to school. When really she should go get a job and stop wasting her time for something that she really doesnt want.
