I loved that movie, but no it wasn't Bhuvan that was the first Indian cricket player but, K S Ranjitsinhji. His full name:
Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji Jadeja, he was a rajput and was a test cricketer who player for the English Cricket team. His name was shortened into Ranji and was known as the "Black Prince of Cricketers"

The Ranji Trophy is named after in his honor. He Revolutionized the cricket game as we now it. He lived during the time when the master of cricket, W.G. Grace was in the England team.
