It all depends on what one wants to move on from. Moving on is not quite as simple as it sounds.. Sometimes in life, there are situations which make it impossible to just dump baggage and move forward without identifying what that baggage is that may be holding one down and what the repercussions of moving on may cause .Those are the times in which it is better to stay with the devil one knows then the devil one does not know at least until one identifies and clears up all the emotional, financial, spiritual mine fields first before moving on the road that lies ahead.

In this present situation, not quite feeling hurt, nor anger, my intuition tells me that it MUST be, that I go on.
Due to lack of trust at what in the past has gnawed at me in not quite similar situations, (because I truly found this one unique and exceptionally free of play, as so transparently displayed of themselves their true nature, WERE the other "love situations") I stayed in those, for a longer time, and payed sorely with very wounded emotions.
However experience does become a sobering teacher after a while, so that one honours as quickly as it is possible, what spells pain and more disabling feelings to any heart which is worthy of saving itself.

If we don't move on then we are staying in the present which quickly becomes living in our past. So, in order to have a future we must move on and create it.
