I actually think the opposite.

A few examples.

Mobile phones - let people contact us for good times as well as bad when we are out of the house

Video/DVD recorders - Allow us to plan our TV round our life, not the other way round.

MP3 players - Music anywhere we want

Laptops - Contact with friends over the internet from anywhere in the world with WIFI coverage

I totally agree, even when you riding the train in New York and somebody is playing an old portable cd player, people look at you like you come from jupiter, defenetely society has a lot to do with your spending habits, is like you have to be on style, if not you won't be accept it.

I would prefer to live up in the bush with a beautiful women than have to deal with cell phones and computers, i would give up the Internet for a little peace and quiet of the wilderness.

I agree. I feel like the art of conversation has been lost. When I go out with my friends, all they do is freaking text the WHOLE time. It's like they're in their own little worlds. Try holding a conversation like that.....

THE CONTROL IS IN OUR HANDS, WHEN I'M TALKING TO SOMEONE IN PERSON, I RARELY ANSWER MY PHONE. I THINK PEOPLE ARE BECOMING SLAVES TO THERE PHONES,AND RUDE TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE RIGHT THERE WITH THEM. LIKE ANYTHING ELSE IN OUR LIVES, WE NEED TO BE MINDFUL OF THE WAY WE ACT.
