.yes he will be a very good Quarterback in the NFL He is in a great spot. The ravens before the year started had pretty much giving up on kyle boller. Yeah they singed boller to a 1 year deal but smith has one of his idols that he is learning behind is mcnair, He has the arm he won't play this year he might next but he is more geared for sitting out and being the back up in till they get rid of boller at the end of the year and if mcnair can still play another year. He is the ravens future at quarterback. every one knocks troy smith for one bad game he had. He is one hell of an athlete and one heck of a great kid. He has the attitude and the determination. He will get his shot. No one gave him a chance at ohio state. when he competed for the job with justin zwick but proved every one wrong. He is clutch and always makes something happen the legend of troy will be on hold for a few years but watch out.

Sage Rosenfelts and Cleo Lemon are actually the backups for their teams.

Troy Smith is a third string practice squad qb and is not the furute of the Ravens.

Troy Smith has to enter the NFL Draft this year because his college eligibility is complete. He is a senior and therefore has no opportunity to return to college to play anymore. Check out the Mock Draftboards that are available to see his projected draft position.

It is very possible for an overlooked QB to be sucessful in the NFL if he can stick around and is able to make the most of his chance when it comes. Look at Kurt Warner.

Give him a few years, I on the other hand never really saw NFL starting quarterback potential in him.

I think so. If you look at him as a freshman(recruited as an athlete, and returning kicks for the buckeyes) and what he did as a senior, and he works just as hard and keeps improving, I see no reason why he couldn't make it as a pro, His big knock is that he is short, but he is thick, and mobile, so I think if anyone can do it at 6', then it is him.
