Someone told me a story about dumping smelly liquid in the coolant reservoir or something that works with the air conditioner. I don't know if it's possible. Do cars use water for the AC?
My brother also bought some kind of fruit-smelling liquid that would make the car smell good by using the air conditioner. Where does the liquid go and do you think it would work?

no, the a/c doesn't use water. it will however, take it out of the air on humid days (that's why when the a/c is on in the summer you have water leaking out onto the ground from under the car. the scented liquid for the a/c sprays in the vent. it is just an air freshener without the package.

The fruity liquid from brother probably goes in a small container of sorts that is set in front of one of the little things that the air comes out of. Do not know of any other way to make an air conditioner make a better smell.

As you have heard by now the A/C doesn't take water, but to answer your question as to where to put the scent, there is usually a vent filter under the dash on ht passenger side that you need to replace periodically because it will start to smell. You can spray something on that and the smell will come through the vents. Look in your owners manual for the exact location of your filter.

no it doesn't use water but it creates condensation, and that can come in to the inside of the car if the drainage isn't working very well on it,that will happen if the drainage hole stops up on it,as for the idea ,i don know if that would work or not ,since the air conditioner doesn't use water it would be hard to make the smell get in to the car, good luck with it.

no your ac uses refrigerant. most like r-134a. it has nothing to do with the coolant. the only thing that should go in your radiator is antifreeze and water and certain additives but no fruity liquid
