yes
Their defense keeps them in games but to beat teams like Patriots,Colts,Steelers you need the running game to keep those types of offenses off the field.

That's been a problem for a long time and they discussed it last game about the ton of crossing patterns. You would think the other time would just put everyone in there and stop that.
They did not get anyone like Greene and you got to wonder. As Farve said he wanted Moss and see what he is dong. The offensive line has jelled and makes you wonder if they can blow holes open like NE O can.
Not matter what it's going to be interesting. Poor Don Driver once again wil take the load. Last year he did it all until at the end of the season. If you noticed in the last game he was the man again after the other one fumbled twice. Any team must see that if we do.
Hope they can some how get it going as backs are not tested and O line built for protection. We will see it will be worth the price of admission. Your thoughts and take care.

Deshaun Whynn is the answer to the Packers running game. The man toar through the Bears front 7 the entire first half of their game 2 weeks ago and had he not been sidelined with an injury in the 2nd quarter the Packers most likely would have won that game. They will be just fine, besides if you had to rely on a passing game, isn't Favre one of the quarterbacks you would like to have on your team?

they'll adjust. don't be fooled by the weather though, Favre knows how to manage the game in good and bad weather. he has been around long enough to understand it all. just because it's cold, it doesn't mean the running game has to be abandoned completely. there will still be 30 pass attempts a game, look it up, that has been Favre for you. the running game will come around.
i think GB's best alternative is to utilize their wr tandem better. they need to avoid using the FB unless for short yardage situations. they need to spread the field. defenses no longer respect the packers running game. by spreading them out, which is an addition, the running game should pick up a little more.

unfortunately, yes. and also, im a huge brett favre fan but he's seeing one of the best times in his career now but it wont last next year. maybe not even the second half of the season. i would be REALLY surprised to see brett favre keep this play up the rest of the season and surprised to see the packers make the playoffs. the best they can hope for as far as the running game is concerned is to go the "running back by commitee" route and use 2 or 3 different backs. non are outstanding, but at least there'll always be a fresh back in the backfield.
the packers are doomed!!

They have a decent defense to go along with their passing in offense, but the lack of a good running game will catch up with them and they'll start to lose the close games instead of winning them

Yes, come winter and the playoff race a deficiency in the running game usually gets exposed. With that said, they'll still make the playoffs.

Ask McCarthy, I just saw him on the local news. He hates this question.
I do think we will need to run the ball, if only to preserve a lead and grind out the clock. Anybody know Ricky Williams cell number?

I'm going to say no, because before the Colts had a run game, they were terrible in January, but when they had a good one....
