My next statement will actually list the next wave of finance charges even though I paid the entire current balance last month. If I call the c.c. company will they tell me what I have to actually pay to get rid of the balance for good or is it in their best interest to continue to allow these roll over charges?

If you've been carrying a balance on that credit card and pay it off this month, next month you will get the finance charges for the time between this month's statement closing date and the date they received payment.

If you pay your balance in full every month, there won't be any "rollover" charges, unless you have one of those few credit cards without a grace period.
