Two songs from Rupert Holmes come to mind "Escape" (The Pina Colada Song) and "Him".
Another good song with an edge by the Little River Band called "Man On Your Mind" might also be on-target.
And if you really, really, REALLY want to kick out the jams--try cranking up loud n' proud the J. Geils Band classic--"Love Stinks".

i know there's one on the Plain White T's (Stop) cd...can't remember the name of it though. But it has lyrics about the girl always hanging with this other guy and talking about your my one and only. But what are you with him at 2 or 3 in the morning?
