i've been meaning to ask this question for a while now..
i went to see lorrie a few years back, she and sammy kershaw were together and did a good job, her part of the show was much better then his though, anyways when she got done singing, you know how they go off stage and then wait to be cheered back on- well when she came back on, we were yelling for her to sing "WHAT PART OF NO"..do you know she act as if she did'nt hear a thing and broke out in a BEACH BOYS SONG..."DON'T WORRY BABY"??? YOU CAN GUESS WHAT HAPPENED NEXT...did she have the right to sing what ever she wanted or should she have honored our request..at least our's was COUNTRY. OH YEA..i did kinda BOO her too. but i still would go see her again.

Well Okie, I'm going to have to go with Fool on this one. Although I understand where you're coming from, I believe most performers have a set list, and don't deviate much from it. So as she was coming out she probably already had in her head what she was going to sing, and she covered that song on a Beach Boys tribute cd a few years back. I know you are disappointed but I wouldn't hold it against her, she's still great!!!

Maybe the song wasn't on the program list. Often times artists use the same one for a complete tour and don't like to change from it as the band is always on the same channel as the artist. The exception would be like some singers and Merle Haggard and George Jones are just a couple who often ask the crowd if they want to hear a certain song then they will do it. Many times an artist doesn't recall all the words of a song he or she may have recorded many years ago if they don't have it on their sets and do it regularly. Hank Thompson is one who rarely if ever varies from his program list. You weren't wrong for booing but all of us on here knows how carried away you can get at times. LOL Are you sure you were a good girl and didn't raise a little H3ll?

She is a great Country and W singer. She probably should have sung another country song. Maybe she just felt like a change. Never have seen her live. Lorrie has his moments.

No, I could never boo Lorrie Morgan for a choice of song that I didn't particularly appreciate or want to hear. I would have risen out of my seat, and kept clapping until she performed another encore, one of my choice. But, at least, she learned the hard way that her fans want country music!

If she wanted to sing the Beach Boys song, she should have at least hit a bar or two of What Part Of No....then sung what She wanted to.

I love Lorrie, however she got where she is with the support of her fans. So YES she should have sang what they wanted to hear. Sorry Lorrie

I think if she was paying attention and wanted to do an encore to show fan apprecation, she should have sung the request but it seems more and more that artists have their entire program rehearsed theses days including encores. They have the band ready to go for and it all lined up.

Wow!! (Between you and Fool), (The Devil,s Advocate) (me)!!! I think an artist should do what's in her/his heart.
BUT, WHEN YOUR STANDING ON SACRED GROUND
(the unbreakable circle)

You need to play COUNTRY music,

George (Candy Kisses) Morgan would have agreed

(George was Lorrie's dad)

(hey, I know you guys know that!!!)
