The female will lay about 200 eggs transparent yellowish colored eggs, which the male will immediately fertilize. As soon as the eggs have been fertilized, the breeding pair should be removed from the tank. The eggs will hatch in approximately 36 hours, and the fry will be free swimming after five days. Feed the fry newly hatched brine shrimp until large enough to accept finely crushed flake food.

Tiger barbs are egg layers, the females will scatter their eggs while the males fertilizes them externally duting a spawning frenzy. The eggs will hatch in a few days and the frys will not be able to swim for another 3 days or so, until their egg sac is fully absorb, once free swimmign the fry will actively hunt for food and feedign should begin.

Forever,Tiger Barbs are egglayers,the eggs are externally fertilized,they can never be pregnant or gravid or any of those livebearer things. They can only be full of eggs.

tiger barbs are not a live bearing fish they are egg layers so technically they aren't ever pregnant.
