When used by those who attack other Americans -- it is a statement implying that only one particular viewpoint is valid or acceptable -- and that anyone who disagrees should leave.

However, that attitude violates the basic premise of the 1st Amendment -- freedom of speech, religion, assembly -- because this country was founded on diversity and the right of people to have and express different viewpoints.

So, anyone rejecting that diversity -- and trying to force everyone who disagrees with them to leave -- is ignoring the core principle that this country was founded upon.

Countries have been bashing Americans for ever, and now they're upset that the 'Ugly' Americans don't want them in our country.
I think if you cannot enter the USA legally, than get out and stay out. Did you know Mexico only allows 3500 people to immigrate each year there. So why are we worried about closing our borders to Mexs and Canooks? They have a country. If they want to improve something, they should stay in THEIR OWN COUNTRY and fix it there.
America doesn't have to be the melting pot of the world anymore, seeing how the world doesn't give a rat's **** about us!!

Hey, I know that tone of voice ! The voice of Neo Con...

This group claims they love America and its way of life, if some immigrant starts whining and complaining about the treatment they get, you will hear the voice saying get out of our contry then. However, this qoute is very un American because the principles our founding fathers used in stablishing our country is to be the land of the free. Where freedom of speech, religion, and etc., is guranteed by the constitution. Meaning The expression qouted above is contrary to the principles of our founding fathers. Stopping them to say such expression is also un-American.

To me Un-American is someone who lives here in America, enjoys the freedoms, takes full advantage of the freedoms, yet still bashes America. Yes, those people should get out. They should have their citizenship revoked and never be allowed to return.
If you want to live here and you're a foreigner, learn the language before you get here or get out.

Americans are supposed to have freedom of expression, and freedom of speech... I sure don't understand how telling someone to leave is un-American.... are you saying that Americans are always supposed to be open armed and friendly to any and everyone who barges in and starts making demands or expects "special" treatment OR we are NOT American??

Depends on how you use it or heard it used.

What are you trying so hard to legitimize?
