I had the same problem with missed periods, it got better once I had children. I think it's silly that they prescribed you the pill so you could have monthly bleeding as the pill gives you fake periods. That means that it only masks a problem. My OBGYN told me it was pointless. Make sure you dont have cysts on your ovaries and get off the pill, unless you want to avoid pregnancy and you dont care for protected sex (which at 18 I advise). Sometimes your body does not ovulate because you are under stress and therefore you do not get a period for a while. Obviously having a period or the pill interferes with your digestive system. If you did not get an ultrasound to your ovaries I would do that to check for cysts and ask the doctor about diarrhea.

Same here,
I also get diarrhea when I'm on my period.
Maybe wehave sensitive bowels that don't do well with the hormones in the stream. Kind of like morning sickness.

I think it's better to ask that question to your physician, because diarrhea itself is not a disease but a symptom of an underlying cause ex. (infection, allergies, autoimmune diseases and etc.). And if you keep getting that during your menstruation then there is definitely something wrong...

During menses, your body does everything necessary to preserve blood volume in the blood stream by retaining water. Slight changes of blood electrolytes can force an excess of fluids into the bowel as part of this process and this will results in mild diarrhea.

I tend to see my breakfast when I'm on the first day of my period.
Its normal.... some girls just get sick.
I did go to my doctor about it.
And she gave me medication to take when I started my time of the month.
I don't know how it could effect your birth control though, so maybe you should go see your doc if its bothering you.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

If you wear tampons, it could be a sign that they've been in too long. And it could be a sign of Toxic Shock Syndrome. If you get diarrhea, and you're wearing a tampon, take it out immediately.

That's pretty normal. Even if you're not on the pill. Not quite sure why, but I wouldn't worry.
