We looked at houses for a couple of years before buying one. The subject didnt come up with any of them. Then one of them made my wife say "I feel as if the house likes me". Well we arent really the kindof people to blink about such things. It went into the "pro" column as we debated the place. We did finally buy it.

That was 7 years ago. Since then some odd things. Altho the oddest is probably the way we treat it. We dont define it. We just call it "presence" and feel like its at the end of the hallway. Once a year or so something strange will happen like a sudden feeling of fear that makes you leave the room. We just pat it on the head saying something like "yeah, nice one there". Other than that it doesnt seem to do much.

The funniest thing was a goth girl (one of my sons girlfriends) who got suddenly serious one day saying "did you know that you have a spirit in the house". We all just said "oh yeah. Presence. At the end of the hallway by the bathroom" and went back to watching tv. I cant get over how her mouth fell open.

Of course everything that has gone on has perfectly good scientific explanations for it.
If we cared.

Yes my house is HAUNTED, it's built on the site of an old church. We have had four blessings done on the house, in the hope that things will settle down, they do for a while but then something starts it all off again.

Several years ago my friend & I were cleaning a very old cottage/summer house. While I was in the kitchen and she was in the bathroom a pair of scissors flew off of the bathroom sink and across the room. We both ran outside and didn't go back in until someone came to pick us up. Scared the b'jeepers out of both of us.

I remarried 5 yrs ago and the day before the wedding I smelled the strong odour of my Dad's fav pipe tobacco. Dad had passed away several yrs before that. I lived in the country and there were no other houses close by and there was no one else around.

As I write this I remember that at the same house as the tobacco incident but not at the same time on 2 different occasions when I was alone, I felt someone touch my lower back. Also, after my best friend's funeral we were at her home and I felt a hand touch my shoulder.

The day of my Dad's funeral we were back at my parent's home and all of the guests had gone. My 5 yr old grandson had been out in the yard playing with a little cousin all afternoon. He came in and climbed up on my lap and I was asking him if he'd had fun with Tara. He said he had and that he saw Pop (my Dad) in the back yard. I very calmly asked if Tara had seen him and he said no, only he had. I asked if Pop said anything to him and he said he told him he didn't hurt any more and wasn't sick any more. Dad had died of cancer. I totally believed him as it was just matter of fact for him and he was never one to make up stories and at 23 he still doesn't. About the same time my 7 yr old nephew out west saw Pop while he was out in the field and basically had the same story.

I really believe in this sort of thing and hadn't realized until now how many of these things have happend to me and my family.

I also have a cousin who lived in a haunted house for several years but don't have enough time to list all of the wierd things that happened there. Really spooky though.

The community theater I'm involved with is haunted. There are several spirits in it: A little girl who haunts the dressing rooms and costume shop, and a malevolent spirit who roams the balcony, plus a couple more!

yes, I live in one. A girl named Ava Stratford died 100 years ago from a harsh illness, so she is supposed to haunt the house until she brings her husband back from war, he died a while after she did in the war.

Absolutely. My mom's house was uber haunted. I was thrown out of my bed and my brother was hit by a flying pool stick, to give two examples.
