At first look it seemed like the left wing deal where they make a mountain out of nothing and the left wing media runs with it. You know you cannot have freedom of speech without them twisting it. Also they can say anything or do anything they want and nothing is said. But when you look at this, this guy is an elected official that's a top dog in Washington and he ran with a bogus story.

Should Rush sue the guy? The scary part is tht this guys informatin must have come from some left wing outlet and it was not only wrong, but a mean spirited lie. What if the guy gets some more bad information and runs up to Bush's office and tires to push the button?

No this has gone too far and he must be removed. He also took up valuble timeon the floor and then had 40 other ones waste time signing it, when they could have been doing congressional work. What about Rush's DIGNITY!

This is serious America, he must have a psychological examine and then put out to pasture.

Yes, yes, but maybe his shady land deals should be investigated first. Maybe he could get a job guarding alien bodies at Area 51. But put an ankle bracelet on the man regardless.

These blatantly fabricated accusations against Rush are baseless, an abuse of power, and would be laughable except that they show to what extent certain Democrats will do anything to comply with our enemies' agenda during a time of war.

And yes, I listened to the Rush episode involved and the Socialists and Democrats are liars. And Rush is right.

I have been active in Democratic politics for over 45 years, so I think I have a bit more perspective thatn many of the people responding to this question.

First: we have a historic opportnity to control not only the Presidency but also, the House and the Senate.

If Hillary Clinton is elected she will bring back most of the team from Bill Clinton's Presidency that created the best economy that we have had in the history of this nation.

We have a tremendous opportunity because the Republicans have blown it as bad if not worse than they blew it during Watergate.

After Watergate we should have had Democratic Presidents, Congress and Senate for at least 20 years. That did not happen because we got overconfident and goofy and blew it ourselves during the Carter Presidency.

Ronald Reagan took back the Presidency and did incalculable damage to this country that we are still recovering from today.

Although the Republicans have blown it, we must be careful that we do not blow it and hand it back to the Republicans.

Unfortunately a person who failed boot camp made up a story about having been sent to combat in Iraq and claimed that was ordered to kill civilians and desecrate Muslim Mosques at the orders of his superiors.

This story was completely false.

This individual was also convicted of fraudulently claiming veteran's benefits to which he was not entitled.

Rush Limbaugh quite properly discovered the fraud of this individual and made an issue of it on his program.

That was the issue of the phony soldier story. Yes, apparently Rush Limbaugh called this person a phony soldier. I would say that is a good description as this person was never sent to Iraq and was never in combat, yet he claimed to have murdered civilians and desecrated Muslim Mosques on the orders of superior officers. This person was also convicted of fraudulently claiming veteran's benefits to which he was not entitled.

That sounds like a description of a phony soldier to me and the claims this individual made were false and defamatory to the real soldiers serving in Iraq.

We make a huge mistake when our leaders chastise Rush Limbaugh for the story that he presented about this individual who made those fraudulent claims.

We alienate our own people when we do that.

We must be very careful that when we make an issue out of a story like this one that we have our facts absolutely right and that we are talking about an event that really happened, not some fraudulent event like the one made up by this person who failed boot camp and then made up this ridiculous story.

Resign but the problem is he's a Democrat and in their eyes that means he can do no wrong, Harry is perfect. The @sshole!

I think Rush was classy in how he handled Reid's insulting remarks and made Reid and the other Democrats look like schmucks!

Don't know a lot about this particular incident but Harry Reid is a flippin' idiot. Not sure how he managed to be elected in the first place, or held office longer than one term. But for him to be the Majority leader? Just shows you how bankrupt his party is.

He is an example to take notice of. Politicians hedge the truth but ones in positions of authority taking such blatant stands.. actually Grand Standing is more like it. Makes me hope for more legislature on Term Limits.
Please Vote and vote responsibly in '08 . Thank you.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. What about the 40 plus Dems who signed his letter basically agreeing they're just as uninformed and stupid as Harry himself. Pretty scary to think that our leaders could get something this simple wrong. All it took was about 5 minutes of research to figure out the truth..and NONE of them could do it. Pretty frickin' scary..

All politicians lie -- it's a basic aspect of their profession.

So do must political commentators -- and Rush has a long history of bending the truth to score political points.

Reid has been politicizing a tragedy -- so has Rush -- they should all be ashamed of themselves.
