using my pc as a POS

the POS im working uses a usb POS keyboard. end i need to use a PS/2 keyboard when the system encounters a problem that i need to be able to access the files in that terminal. but when i try to plug the ps/2 keyboard the XP hungs. what can i do for the ps/2 keyboard to be always present even if it is not plug during boot-up?

I think it depends on the keyboard, ive unplugged/plugged mine lots of times while the computer is on ( its on 24/7). You could alwys try and find new drivers and see it that helps

u can do a hardware search. xp will find it. but this causes a problem. xp installs several drivers for this key board, then causes problems in the future.
