Yes, but it would be better if you did not teach at the elementary level. You need a teaching credential from the state in which you want to teach. Your university education will count, but not the teaching credential so you would have to get that here. It takes about a year to get a credential after you have graduated from university. Unfortunately the US only needs teachers in the areas of Math, Science or Special Education (which might not be good with an accent).

There are websites with clips available, just do a search. You could also watch Mel Gibson's movie Braveheart. Awesome film, great Scottish accents :-)

In Scotland (as in all countries), there is not just one accent. Brummie (I think that is what you are looking for) is someone from Birmingham (UK - not Alabama!!).
Try listening to some of the voices recorded by the BBC of people from all over the UK.
