If you didn't want anyone to know, you wouldn't be thinking about telling them. Either get counseling or just get on with it.

there's no fool proof way to tell them that you're a cutter because they're going to freak out a little no matter how you tell them. i really wanted to tell my friends too, but i just let them figure it out on their own because that way they didn't feel like i was hiding my feelings from them which i really was, but they didn't really ask how long i had been doing it or stuff, they just wanted to help me at that point. So maybe just roll up your sleeves once in a while so they can see the scars and once they do, there will be a lot of questions, just patiently answer them and dont get pissed at them because they don't know what you've been going through. Hope this helps...

Well if u have to second guess urself about rather they are good enough friends to not judge u or tell anyone then u should probably find someone else to talk to about this, u really need to get help tho because this is serious. U need to talk to someone who can help u make sense of ur emotions

chances are that telling your friends may not go over so well. in a school setting issues like cutting and depression are treated lightly, especially by students. the smarter idea would be to talk to a teacher or counsler that can help you figure out why you cut yourself and how to put a stop to those behaviors. then once you are past that phase in your life you can tell your friends.

If they are your real friends, then they will tell as soon as they possibly are able to. Because there is no real friend in the world that would let another friend go down a path that is not only psychologically addictive, but also destructive, and damaging to your body long term. So please tell your friends as soon as possible so you can start getting help!

They will most likely tell someone because you are doing something that is dangerous. You need to speak with a close family friend or a parent about your coping skills.

ok well if you think that you need to tell someone then it might just be one really good friend. they can be there for you, go with you get help. it can be scary if you have to do it all alone. i have been the helping friend and it was the best thing i have ever done. so find someone that you trust and see if they will help you

say "you know... theres something that i do that i want you to know about.... but i am worried youll tell some one... if i tell you then you have to promise to keep it a secret" when they do... tell them that your are glad to have friends that close... close enough to tell them your worst secret, and thank them for being there for you.... they would feel guilty just thinking of betraying you. i hope this helps

If your friends really do care about you, they'll want to help you.
You do know that, right?
