who is more willing to compromise on looks? the man or the woman? that is if a person doesnt fit your "standard" which gender would be more willing to compromise and accept less?

in theory from psychological tests and surverys it has been found that the male gender is more willing to compromise. But men tend to be more superfacial about looks than women. this is not to say all women and men are like that, but the great majority is.

Men. I think. As teenagers they're all about looks, but then as they get older and mature a little bit, you see some really shallow teenagers grow up and go out with the ugliest women! Honestly, I never compromised on looks, but my standards were not ridiculously high. I just didn't want any fatties! Fat men are not good for sex, but a fat woman? I'm sure it's still okay for men.

Well basically you are attracted to people of the same level of attractiveness as yourself. However, if you don't see the person right from the start (long distance relationships) then this rule doesn't apply. My girlfriend is super attractive - met her husband over the phone - turns out he was not at all attracted in real life but it was too late - they were soulmates and have been married for 10 years now!

I think the woman has to more. But I think guys tend to fall harder for women and are more willing to compromise
