no not entirely. if you pay $1 yes you are paying child support but thats nothing. if a child is terminally ill or has other disabilities or issues and you arent paying for that then that wouldnt look good. and paying child support shouldn't "look good" you pay child support cause the child is YOUR child and YOU CARE for the child.

Looks good to who? Pay whatever you want. But in the eyes of child support enforcement, if you aren't paying the court ordered amount you are considered in arrears. The state can take a garnishment against your wages or any/all tax refunds you may be entitled to. Not paying your court ordered child support is playing with fire. And one way or another they will get it from you. If you're not able to pay it, you're looking at jail time. So if you do not make enough money you have to hire an attorney and go to court to get the judgement modified.

No ! Besides looks good to who ? you! But not the State! You are suppose to pay what you are ordered to pay and if you pay less you might not think it looks Good when you have to start paying back all those arrears You Owe ! They will make you pay back all that you owe if you miss a payment or if you pay less ! So you end up paying it all back anyway! So why pay less and get yourself behind ? It will only hurt you in the long run when they start making you pay it all back and no matter what age the kids are, even after their past 18 yrs. old you will still owe the parent who had the custody of them!!

It would depend on just how much you were paying on child support.
