They are the nuts responsible , after all groups like them stopped the controlled burns that would have cut about 90% of the fires fuel ( dead and dried out brush ) ... Those enviro groups said the controlled burns were running animals from their homes and habitats , so the tear drying liberal judges said OK we will stop the burns , and clearing of dried out ,and dead brush so the animals can live in harmony with people ...well Now they have an out of control burn and everyone is running away in harmony .. I know it is bad out there , but this disaster could have been prevented if the enviro groups would have just shut the h*ll up , and let the experts in the fire business do their jobs in the first place ..
Honestly , instead of tax money paying for this , I think the groups that protested the controlled burns should have to pick up the tab on this one ...When a group crys to get their way , then get it , and it back fires like this , they should have to pay the tab ..just my opinions.

THe thing I found is many Republicans are environmentally friendly because they know the value of money. My parents use Fluorescent light bulb, not because it helps the environment, but it saves money. Gore was never an environmentalist, but merely a poser. He thinks the solution is to through moremoney at it. I got mad that he tried to artificially reduce oil prices to get himself elected. He was treuly an Environmentalist, he would let gas prices skyrocket. Look what happen now gasoline is over $3.oo a gallon. We drive less, buy more fuel efficient cars and companies are serious about finding alternative fuel.

Perhaps they agree with me. Those people with more money than brains should never have built those expensive houses in what is actually a desert. Because of global climate change, it is estimated by the US forestry service that half of the forests in the western U.S. will be gone in 50 years. Nice that the rich people in California benefited from the furore from Bush's failure to help the Katrina victims.

Most environmentalists are not trained fire fighters -- though I know many who are, and they are out on the front lines.
Most environmentalists are scientists -- and they deal more with the areas that are less developed -- like national forests and wilderness area -- or with environmental impacts of major construction projects. They aren't emergency services trained.

Forest fires have been happening in California for thousands of years. Global warming is making them more frequent, that's all.
