Ok, ok. Just one more 'vs' question. At the heights of their selective empires, who'd win in a war, a Roman Legion or a Mongolian troop?

~Take a look at the Mongolian Empire at it's peak vs that of the Romans when they maxed out. Compare the technology of the two. How can there be any doubt as to which would have won? The Romans had their hands full with the Vandals and the Goths. They wouldn't have lasted a year against the Mongols.

The Romans had a good defence (the tortoise) against archery which was the main weapon of the Mongols but I think the Mongolian tenacity and ferocity would have won out in the end..
I have often wondered about that myself. It would have been quite a battle.
