No relation at all. Take the example of China.

Many people confuse this two terms but Capitalism is in some way anti-democratic.

Unrelated -- other than both recognize the power of the individual.

Democracy is a method for making laws -- might makes right majority rule -- and can be either pure (polyarchal) where everyone gets involved with every decision -- or representative where people elect the day-to-day decisionmakers

Capitalism is an economic model -- it's about who owns the property -- namely, the individual. And capitalism can work just as well under a democracy, a republic, a fascist state or a monarchy -- as long as the govt allows private business.

Democracy is concerned with politics while capitalism is economic system. They don't have any relationship between them.
