As a front office employee of the Islanders I hate getting reports on bad teams. To lessen my workload, what teams should be eliminated?

All the teams should stay. The thing that should be eliminated is the pathetic liar who claims to work as a front office employee for the Islanders. (Even if said pathetic person were telling the truth, why would (s)he be so proud of it?)

Yeeeeeeeah, I wouldn't be too proud of workin' for the Islanders. That's like someone getting on the NFL section of Yahoo Answers and bragging about working for the Dolphins......just not somethin' to brag about much.

Honestly...I don't know what to say to people who want all of the southern hockey teams moved north. I mean, you say they don't make any money down south....but the teams were moved because they weren't making any money up north either. Even if people up north do "love the game more"......love doesn't pay the light bills in the arena.

Now...as for who to axe.....take the Devils. They're pretty much gone anyway. Brodeur should've gracefully stepped into retirement when Patrick Roy did....and they both should've taken Hasek with them.

And finally, if you want to lighten your workload.....go for commissioner. It evidently pays very well for doing absolutely nothing.....just ask Bettman.

Islanders is the obvious choice if you want your workload lessened. You ran into that smart aleck remark so don't even get your panties in a wad.

*There is no place for hockey blah blah blah Ducks?

oh really? i can think of a place wher the name Ducks belongs in hockey ON THE STANLEY CUP!!!!! Just b/c you don't like them doesn't meantthey aren't agood team helllloooo McFly the Ducks have only existed for 14 yrs and have had 3 runs in the playoffs and of course we got the SC so :P to you!!!!!

Jude, stop giving Islanders fans a bad name. The team has done enough of that on its own. You should "fire yourself" for the Yashin fiasco. Then you would have less so-called paperwork

However, to answer the question, Nashville is the first team to come to mind with all the ownership problems they recently had. Phoenix is a possibility, but not because they play in the desert. They have just never been competitive and charging $325-375 for one seat by the glass doesn't help their cause.

New York Islander or Nashville Predators

BTW, I'm tired of this, "hockey doesn't belong in the desert" bull. Maybe you should take your head outta your *** and step off your high horse for just a moment. If someone loves hockey, who cares where it is located, desert or otherwise. I'm sure Europeans (who invented the sport) aren't sitting there saying "hockey doesn't belong in North America."

And apparently Gretzky thinks it could be a good thing, otherwise he could have easily gotten a job coaching anywhere else in the league. But I shouldn't have expected so much from a person who claims Brodeur is just overrated.

If anyone the Islanders..they have bene here long enough and haven't done anything plus theres no need for 2 new york hockey teams when they aren't big fans. Every other team is growing but they just are dead and are pointless. and every orignal six team needs to stay..thats hockey's backbone. go wings!

Goodbye Phoenix. To keep it even we'll have to take out an Eastern team, too. Based on their super-craptacular attendance last night, I'll have to go with the Canes.
