The biggest joy of my life is being the Mom to a teenaged son! If I had known it was gonna be this much fun, I'd have done it several more times but with a few years in between! It is the best and the hardest job I have ever done. Molding and modeling a young man into a grown man has to be the ultimate 'high' I have ever had! He's a fun kid, makes a few mistakes now and then but we walk thru them and learn from them. He's going on to college after school. His choice of friends has been decent. Even when he went thru some very hard times, acting out for a bit I still got a laugh or two out of it now that I look back. I can see at 16 yrs old that he is going to be a good human being, thoughtful of others, treating women good and loving to children, not a spanker but knows when to discipline them & how much. He's been a job I adored!

When my grandchildren tell me they love me! Tonight as my 3 year old grandson was leaving he looked solemnly at me and said in his sweetest, most consoling little voice, "Now don't cry, ok Ganna? I'll be back" He has lived with me for over 2 1/2 years of his little 3 1/2 year old life. My almost 5 year old granddaughter has me listed in the 3 top "fravrit" people in her life. She is certainly in my top list of favorite people, too. They are my heartbeat!!
