Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi (the drummer)..Dave Mason only appears on the first 2 Traffic albums whereas Jim was there for the whole duration...Steve wrote the music and Jim took care of the lyrics..Recently deceased,a DVD and CD has been released "Various Artists:Dear Mr. Fantasy:A Celebration For Jim Capaldi" recorded live with Steve,Pete Townshend,Gary Moore,Paul Weller and many others.I know that Dave was big in the states for a while..But imo Jim was the true anchor for Traffic..lyrically for all those albums and drum-wise for the grooves he laid down.RIP.
