Hello,No doubt the producers, directs and writers knew what they were doing when they created the HBO TV Deadwood. From the Doctor's medicines, patients, diseases, the use of opium, primitive medical instruments and procedures, to the interaction of the lawless men and victimized women, burials,Shakespearean colloquial language, the new business from postal exchange to hardware,to banking and gold mining and newspapers,Chinese tragedies and methods of killings, almost a no way out for anyone at the time.Being trampled by a horse, scalped, wagon trains waylayed and families killed, kids shot in the head for stealing, no stability anywhere. How ever did the West
survive!What a magnificent show.
