I really want to change America's economic system, but how can I do that alone? And i do not want to move to North Korea! I do not want to worship their leader! I want America to become communist, not move to an existing dictatorship that enforces communist theory with huge amount of force.

J.J. I read some of your hoopla last night. Your ideas are completely misguided to say the least. Communism cannot work outside of a test tube. The premis is based on ideals that can only exist in a small community.

People are not created equal, the best we can do is allow them the equal opportunity to make their own decisions on how to run their lives.

Capitolism encourages competition. Competition means quality, quality means profit. If someone is not willing to work hard and make good decesions.

The ideas you propose in previous posts are barely communism. They are closer to being socio fascism. The closest to this that has been put into action was the Nazi party.

To begin with we are already well on our way to a Communit state. Go to http://www.libertyzone.com/Communist-Manifesto-Planks.html to see just how far along we already are. Second a Communist state which does not employ the use of force cannot last very long as Communism in any form is contrary to human nature. You will never get human beings to act against their own natures or against their own best interests for long without the use of force.

Of course you won't be able to force them to behave against their own best interests forever anyway, no matter HOW much force you employ so no Communist state can stand for long on it's own and no Communist state ever has.

The Soviet Union would have collapsed decades before it did if it were not for handouts from the Western world (chiefly the U.S.). Cuba has long been sustained by, and would have collapsed without, monetary and material support from the Soviet Union and now Russia. N. Korea survives only barely even with tremendous monetary and material support from both Japan and S. Korea as well as the U.S. and Western Europe.

So my biggest question is why you would wish such a disasterous, evil and corrupt system on the U.S.? The degree to which our country is already racked with corruption and economic deterioration is exactly the degree to which we have already drifted in that direction. You want to push us the rest of the way over the edge?

Mind you... that may, unltimately, be the only way to save this country. Push it over the edge and hope the next generation has the chutzpah to stage a Second American Revolution and makie it stick. But seems like harsh medicine to me.

Communism really simply defined is state ownership of business and property. Were simply not equipped for it and we would likely revolt if someone tried to force it on us. Trying to change the United States to a communist state would be less successful then converting Saudi Arabia to southern baptist. Since most of us are armed to the teeth it would probably be more bloody as well.

Added: for Arckitekt. Thats the theory but the actual practice is they are citizens of the state and technically own every thing but actually own nothing. Companies become state property. The government owns everything in the peoples name. The workers in a company could easily be ordered to work somewhere else and have no say about their pay or work practice.

Appeal to the minority. It is impossible to start (let alone succeed with) a political revolution. You have to get the minorities to stand up to those who are "keeping them down" so that you have strength in numbers. If you are looking how to do it politically, start by socializing things, starting small to ease into it. Make sure it would be seen by the public as "for the common good" of the country so they would embrace the change.
But all in all, you have to take away economic freedom, which would be hard to do with the consumerism of today's society. So if you actually are to succeed, you have a lot of work to do.

Communism is an economic model -- it means that the govt owns all property.

So, what would be required is changing federal and state constitutions to eliminate the concept of private property ownership.

And at the federal level -- that changes the due process clause ("not deprived of life, liberty or property") and the takings clause (which requires just compensation, which doesn't make sense in a system where the govt owns everything).

Communism has nothing to do with how laws are made -- so the rest of the legal and govt system can stay intact.

You start young. It's already under way. Most of our institutions of higher learning are run by communist nostalgics and the hacks running the nursery schools are trying to emulate them by teaching babies about the benefits of shared ownership and painfully boring mediocrity.

I would escort them all to Gitmo.
They should kiss the ground Bush walks on because if I were running the show, they would all be missing persons.

Will never happen. I recommend that all people wishing for that form of government go live in a country that is already communist.
You will never succeed in trying to convert the US.

EDIT: I agree with sparhawk.
