So I want to get my eyebrows waxed, on a scale of 1 - 10 how much does it hurt in comparison to plucking? And what is the procedure I mean do you just go up there and say, "Hey, I need my eyebrows waxed"?

yes you just tell the salon you want to get your eyebrows waxed. I have been getting mine waxed for over 10 years so on a pain scale of 1-10 for me it's a 2. BUT for you it might be a 5. It's not that bad. BUT if your scared find a place that does threading, no hot wax involved.

i think tweezing hurts more than waxing. I normally wax mine ever three weeks, but due to being on accutane for my acne, I am not able to wax for 6 monhts, so I am tweezing. Had it done by my waxing person and my goodness does it hurt more. To me tweezing is like an 8 and waxing 6.

If you are going to a salon or somewhere, just ask to have an eyebrow wax. And be very specific when you talk to the technician. I have rather nice normal brows minus plucking, but I just ask to have them cleaned up. I don't really change the shape of my eyebrow. just remove odd hairs.

Personally I think plucking is much worse because it take longer and it's lots of continual pain. Whereas waxing takes out lots of hairs at once.
Find a good spa where people are trained in it. It took me many different tries to find a place that did waxes well. In the end a Day Spa works the best.

I saw on a mag that if u wax ur eyebrows like a week before ur period its gonna hurt like hell...but if u do it any other time it wont hurt as much...unfortunately the first time i got mine waxed i did it like a few days b4 and it hurt like a 20 so never did it again.....then i found out it was cause o that...so yeah i prefer tweezers to waxing but thats just me n my experience...

It only hurts for like 3 seconds and then it goes away. It looks really pretty and it's way better than plucking. And all you need to say is "I need my eyebrows done, plz."

it hurts for like 5 seconds..its over before you know it, but when you pluck/thread, they take each hair out individually which makes it hurt SO much more

i wax, and find it less painful
