If Mt Union and Ohio State were to play eachother in Alliance, could Mt. Union pull off the upset? Given what happened in Ann Arbor earlier in the year, it seems possible.

Sure why not, my sons pee-wee team could beat up on the NE Patriots also.

Yeah, Appalachian State was definitely Divison 1-AA. Mt. Union wouldn't stand a chance, though I give them credit as a good Division III school.

Back to the Appalachian State issue, I am glad they beat Michigan, being an Ohio State student and all ;)

Mount Union is a dominant D 3 school, they players that play here couldn't even play for the MAC schools in ohio

here is a question for you...tommy boys dad always said, if you stuck your head up a bulls A$$, and you wanted to know what it looked like, wouldn't you just take the butchers word for it (my variation of the question)

this is the scene from the movie I thought of when I read your question, if that tells you anything

For the guys above me, MT Union has won something like 10 of 12 d3 national championships. There is a big difference between 1aa, and d3. No way MU could win.

I was just up at alliance a couple months ago, and I liked the town.

Divison 3 vs. Division 1

Thats no contest man. I mean they'd be lucky to get a first down. THey'd be lucky to get positive yards. OSU's linemen got to have 80 pounds on those MU guys.

MU could possibly beat Division 2. But never I-AA or I-A

On sep. 27,1930 OSU hosted Mount Union to a 59-0 thumping at the shoe.

Mt. who? Judging by the size of most div 3 schools I bet my high school is bigger, and I would bet that lakeland high school's football team could beat most div 3 schools.
But I did find this about one time when the schools met, if Ohio State decided to be nice this is what would happen again.
